Shandeigh “Nikki” Berry, PhD, RN, CNE
President & Chairman of the Board
Assistant Professor, Saint Martin’s University
Dr. Berry is an honored and award winning graduate from Washington State University. Her research in perinatal loss, grief, and bereavement focuses on decreasing the emotional trauma parents experience in the wake of a life-limiting fetal diagnosis. Her research has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals, presented internationally, and incorporated into perinatal palliative care curricula. In 2022, Dr. Berry received the 2021 ELNEC award for distinguished contributions to palliative education. She has also collaborated with Thai researchers at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand researching holistic palliative care practices. Dr. Berry is the founder of Project Poppyseed.
Roschelle “Shelly” Fritz, PhD, RN
Associate Professor, Washington State University College of Nursing.
Fellow, Betty Irene Moore Fellowship for Nurse Leaders and Innovators
Dr. Fritz’s research is focused on the application of smart health technologies in naturalistic settings such as the home. She is a Betty Irene Moore Nurse Fellow, a National Science Foundation Integrative Graduate Education Research and Training (IGERT) Fellow, and a Washington State University Fellow with the Honor’s College and the Granger Cobb Institute for Senior Living. Dr. Fritz is an advisor to multiple healthcare-oriented technology companies and is a former publicly elected Commissioner for a public hospital district in Washington State.
Kenzie Olson, BSN, RN, IBCLC, NBC-HCW

Kenzie is a graduate of Saint Martin’s University with a degree in Nursing and business. Kenzie works as a labor and delivery nurse and lactation consultant. She received her Health Coaching certification, specializing in Prenatal and Children’s Health. In 2020, Kenzie became a Nationally Board Certified Wellness Coach as well as an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant. Additionally, Kenzie is a Children & Family Yoga Instructor.
Elisha Mvundura, MD
Treasurer of the Board
Attending Physician-OB/GYN
Native to Zimbabwe, Dr. Mvundura completed his obstetric and gynecology residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. He is currently practicing at Providence Centralia Hospital, where he also chairs the Department of Perinatology. He has received numerous awards, including the Sister Carolyn Award for Excellence (2012) and Georgetown Medical School Best Resident Teaching Award (2008). His research addressing the health needs of Zimbabwean people has been published in multiple peer reviewed medical journals. Dr. Mvundura has volunteered as a visiting physician, providing home-based care and training to patients and families being treated for HIV/AIDS in his native homeland.
